This policy sets out how we collect information about you (such as your name, address, email and telephone details) and how that information may be used. By providing us with personal information you are deemed to have accepted the terms of this policy. Please do not provide us with any personal information if you do not agree to the terms of this policy.
1) How do we collect your information?
We will collect information about you through the registration procedure on the website of Entertainment Films Distributors Ltd. (“EFD”) at www.entertainmentfilms.co.uk and any related domains (the “Site”). We need this information to make sure that you can enjoy all the benefits of registration and so that you get the best out of our Site. You can de-register from our newsletter subscription list at anytime by clicking here [insert] and following the on-screen instructions or via a link situated at the bottom of each newsletter that we send to you.
We may also aggregate information about you with information about other visitors to the Site in order to identify trends in our business ("Aggregated Data"). We may pass Aggregated Data to third parties such as advertisers and business partners to give them a better understanding of our business. However, such information will not identify you personally.
2) What are cookies and why do we use them?
This Site uses "cookies". These are small files of data that are downloaded onto your computer when you visit our Site. They allow our Site to "remember" your activities on our Site and the number of times you have visited. By providing certain additional information, you may also be eligible to join our film club and have the opportunity to attend pre-release screenings of certain films in accordance with the terms and conditions of registering on the Site (the “Terms of Use”).
We have separate tick-boxes for users of certain ages so that we are able to send you information that is most suitable for you. You MUST NOT tick a box to say that you are older than you actually are. We will remove you as a user if we have any reason to think that you may have done this.

4) Third Parties

7) Children
We recommend that anyone under the age of 15 should not send any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet without obtaining permission from their parent or legal guardians first.
Given that the Site may be accessed and used by children, EFD requires children under the age of 15 to consult with their parents before providing personally-identifiable data.If you are under 15 years old, you should make sure that a parent or guardian of yours has read this policy and the Terms of Use. You should read this policy and the terms and conditions carefully together with a parent or guardian before getting them to tick the boxes for you to (a) register as a user and (b) be able to receive your newsletters and updates from EFD (should you wish to).
EFD suggests that parents should also supervise their children’s online activities and consider using parental control tools available from online services and software manufacturers that may help provide a child-friendly online environment. These tools may also prevent children from disclosing online their name, address, and other personal information without parental permission.
8) Access to your personal information
The Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”) gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that we hold about you and to have any errors corrected. If you would like to make a request please write to us at the address at the top of this policy enclosing the fee of £10.
For the purpose of the Act, the data controller is EFD.
